PORTRAIT OF A HAPPY CAMPER
What to Wear and What to Bring

Do Wear:
• Tape or card with name and unit name/color on Monday AM
• Hat
• Bandanna tied to belt loop
• T-shirt in unit color (optional)
• Shorts or pants
• Socks (provides protection from insects and prickly plants)
• Closed toe & closed heel shoes (no sandals, Crocs or Heelies)
• Long hair tied back
Don’t Wear or Bring:
• Makeup
• Jewelry
• Electronic gadgets (phones, iPods, Nintendos, etc. Electronics will be confiscated if seen!)
• Sentimental or expensive items
Bring back and forth everyday:
• Backpack
• Poncho or raincoat
• Refillable labeled water bottle (with strap for camper to carry)
• Ziplock bag lunch (or labeled lunchbox) and non-sugary drink
• Sunscreen (non-aerosol and labeled)
• Bug repellent (non-aerosol and labeled)
• Sit-upon (optional)
Bring first day to leave with camp nurse (if applicable):
• Medication in original bottle or packaging.
• Completed Medication Permission Form signed by parent and physician as required by GSCNC.
Wear or bring the day your camper goes to the pool (Unit leader will notify you in advance of the days):
• Two-piece swimsuit (makes visiting the bathroom easier!)
• Towel
• Goggles, if needed
• Bag for wet items
***Remember to label everything with your camper’s name!**
