CAMP DATES & HOURS

Camp Tag-A-Long takes place August 14-18, 2017, 9:00 am-3:30 pm. 

Drop off begins at 8:30 am (we will not accept any camper prior to 8:30), and pick up begins at 3:30 pm.

See Dates & Deadlines for additional information.  PLACEMENT is first-come, first-served through GSCNC's online registration system!  All registration paperwork must be completed and submitted prior to May 1st, or your place at camp may be forfeited.  All necessary paperwork will be provided to parents by March 1st, or as soon as we receive registration data from GSCNC.

MANDATORY TRAINING FOR ADULTS AND AIDES

All adult staff and teen aides must attend a pre-camp training/orientation session.  At your training session, we will have a short presentation on Camp Tag-A-Long and answer any questions you might have about volunteering/aiding at Camp Tag-A-Long.

We have scheduled multiple sessions for adult staff training, below.  We ask that you plan to attend just ONE of these sessions.  We will cover this year's program, any changes from last year, and important safety reminders. 

We are offering only one opportunity for aide training this year. It will be held at Camp Potomac Woods and will include dinner.  This training will cover general camp training, as well as specific training for unit and center aides.  

Adult Staff training dates (attend one date):

New volunteers are required to attend one in-person training session in the spring.

Returning volunteers are required to participate in one online (webinar) training session. Choose between 

Thursday 3/30/17 at 8:00 pm

or

Sunday 4/2/17 at 4:00 pm. 

Teen Aide training dates:

Training is required, as are any planning meetings with your team! This year we are offering one comprehensive, aide-only training (we are not combining aide training with adult training).

Sunday, April 30 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Camp Potomac Woods, Kresge Dining Hall

Pizza will be provided.

AND

Final Pre-Camp Meeting for Adults and Aides:

Camp Potomac Woods on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 4:00 - 5:30 pm.  

At the Final Pre-Camp Meeting at Camp Potomac Woods, we will cover last-minute information, important reminders, and any outstanding questions.  Unit and Center volunteers and aides can meet and set-up from 3:00-4:00 pm and after the meeting until 6:45 pm, if needed.  Gates will close at 7:00 pm.  Please coordinate set-up time with the Directors in advance of Sunday’s meeting.
